Burning Fat with home exercise routines has many benefits. One of the best parts about exercising at home is that you can do these exercises even while you watch television. No need to give up your favorite programs to get active, just get on the floor and try a few of these. Another major benefit to burning fat at home is you do not need to purchase a long term membership or expensive exercise equipment. The following article begins with three toning exercises that target Butt Fat, Thigh Fat, and Belly Fat.

Outer Thigh Lift for butt fat – Lying on your right side with your hips and ankles in line with your shoulders, slowly lift your leg as high as possible, hold, then return to starting position. Do 10 repetitions and then switch sides.

Inner Thigh Lift for Thigh Fat – Lie on your left side with your hips and ankles in line with your shoulders, and your right knee bent at a 90 degree angle. Slowly lift your left leg as high as possible, hold, then return to starting position. Do 10 repetitions and then switch sides

Abdominal Crunches for Belly Fat – Lying on your back with your knees bent and your hands behind your head, slowly curl your shoulders up putting your chin to your chest. Pause then slowly return to starting position. Do 10 repetitions of these.

If you are looking for more ways to burn fat you can incorporate push-ups that can help with arm fat. If you are feeling really inspired you can jog in place and add jumping jacks; both of these exercises will also help you burn fat.

Weight Loss Tips For Heavy Arms

Posted by Kenny On June - 13 - 2010

In order to reduce arm fat, it’s necessary to exercise them specifically, a minimum of a couple times weekly. You are not alone if you dislike the way your arms appear. You’re not alone, there are many people every year who seek to lose extra flab from their arms. You will have a difficult time losing weight from a specific area unless you know what methods to use. These are the tips to help reduce the size of your arms.

Attempt some push-ups. If you are trying to lose the weight from arms push-ups are the best exercises. These exercises are not simply for toning your arms. However, they are helpful. You need both strength and skill to do a push-up properly. Lie on the floor flat with your stomach down. Keep your legs in a straight line, parallel with your spine. By the help of arms push yourself off of the ground. As you lift be sure to keep your arms to the side of your waist, and extend your arms for each rep. Make sure that your back and knees stay straight. Attempt to keep yourself up for a moment or two before you lower yourself back down. Your arms will benefit from doing multiple reps a day.

Try lifting weights. The traditional method for toning arms is weight lifting. Use light hand weights to easily sculpt your biceps and triceps. 3 or 5-pound dumbbells are necessary in the initial phases of your arm weight loss. For the correct arm curl workout, allow your arms to relax alongside your body. Next, gradually elevate them to the sides, horizontally, to the point that they are perpendicular to your shoulders (although it sounds simple, do not underestimate it.) Repeat this as many times as possible. You may want to try an arm lift from the ground as well. Straighten your legs, and bend your hips in a parallel fashion until your waist is parallel to the floor. Hang your arms so that they come close to the ground. Next, simply elevate the weights to the level of your chest, alternating from left to right arm (an extra bonus is that you ought to feel this in the area of your abdominal muscles also!) Firming up the biceps and other muscles in your arms with this workout will enable you to lose arm fat.

Swimming can also be beneficial. As long as you can use a pool, it will be simple to drop extra fat from your arms with swimming. Practicing several different types of swimming, such as the front stroke, back stroke and breast stroke will make your arms move much faster, and much better. Due to using multiple muscles in this workout, you will grow muscle, and burn fat at an increased pace. If you just get in about a half hour of swimming laps, you will see the difference. If you maintain this routine for just a few times per week, you’ll notice weight loss in your arms within a few weeks.

Remain committed. You need to ensure that you are working our a few times a week, preferably three times, specifically on your arms in order to see weight loss in that area. Achieving thinner and leaner arms requires a daily commitment of time and effort aside from your regular workout routine.

Set Point Weight Loss Strategies

Posted by Kenny On June - 13 - 2010

You may not know this, but your body has a weight where it’s comfortable at. This is called it’s “set point”. Say you lose weight but gain it right back. That’s your body’s set point at work. Sure you lowered your weight, but you didn’t lower your body’s set point… the weight it’s comfortable at.

Since your body wasn’t comfortable at your new weight, it basically made life hard enough for you to slip up and help persuade you to regain that weight so it could feel comfortable again. So understand that in order to lose weight permanently over the long term, you also need to pay attention to your body’s set point. I’ll get to that shortly.

Usually as a person ages, their set points gradually increase as well. This leads to weight gain. Now, your set point isn’t a fixed weight. It changes both up and down depending mostly on your recent diet efforts and your recent exercise efforts.

I will leave diet to another discussion. But there is just 1 main exercise that beats all others when it comes to lowering your body’s set point and helping you to maintain any weight loss. That exercise is walking.

Yep. Boring. I know.

However, if you’re losing weight or lost weight and you don’t want to gain it back, then you better start walking consistently. I mean dedicated walks. Don’t even try to say you walk a lot around the house or throughout the day. Unless you’re a mail carrier, I doubt you walk enough.

Ideally, and studies have proven this, you should take at least 10,000 steps in a day in order to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. Most Americans take less than 4,000 steps each day. Pathetic.

Think of walking like this. You have 1,440 minutes in a day. If you can’t spare 30 minutes of that to walk for your health, then you need to take a look in the mirror. That 30 minutes represents only 2% of your time each day.

Everyone is busy these days. We can all use that excuse. But it’s just that, an excuse. You’re health is the most important thing that you have. So don’t treat it as the least important thing in your day.

Let me put this to you in terms of dollars. If you were to walk for just 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days every week, you’ll probably end up saving over $2,000 a year in health related costs. Maybe not this year, but definitely in future years. It adds up. So invest in yourself now! Consider walking like a retirement account. Now get walking.

Weight Loss Made Easy

Posted by Kenny On June - 13 - 2010

Weight loss has always been a hot topic issue but in the day and age we live in it’s become much more than just an “issue”, a necessity for the constantly rising number of overweight individuals in our society.

Some of you might be reading this and saying to yourself why is he stating the obvious and repeating what nearly every weight loss commercial has said for the past 5 to 10 years? Isn’t he going to help? Of course I am. But I’m not going to make bold claims of rapid weight loss or being able to eat all you want. You will need to alter your lifestyle but after reading this article you’ll be well on your way to a healthier, slimmer you and most importantly it will be so easy you’ll wonder why you weren’t doing this all along.

1. Get up and off of your couch and get active. I know it’s not what you wanted to hear but it is the single most important aspect of a weight loss plan. Get active doesn’t mean that you have to start running marathons or lifting ridiculous amounts of weights, it simply means that you must do an activity that will increase the speed of your metabolism in order for your body to create a caloric deficit. Did you know something as simple as a brisk walk can burn nearly 500 calories if done for an hour? See what I’m trying to show you is that you don’t have to be an elite athlete you just have to pick an activity that you like because then and only then will you continue to do it!

2. I touched on this in the first tip but now I will elaborate. Create a caloric deficit! I know some of you might be sitting there and asking yourself, what exactly does that mean? It simply means that you must burn more calories then you are putting into your body. I know many of you already know this but I bet most of our society doesn’t know how to achieve it. The simplest way is to use a proven mathematical formula. If you are looking for a moderate weight loss you would multiply your current bodyweight by 12 and that would give you your daily caloric requirements.

If your body is ultra resistant you can go as low as 10 times your bodyweight. The second method and the one I recommend is to find your daily caloric value by eating a certain amount of calories each week and finding the number where you don’t gain or lose any weight and deduct 500 calories from that number. Whether you use exercise, diet or both to create the deficit is up to you but it must be done in order for you to lose weight!

In addition to the two tips in this article you should try to drink as close to a gallon of water a day as you can and try to stop eating two to three hours before you go to sleep. If you adhere to the tips in this article, you will undoubtedly be on your way to your ideal weight.

How To Calculate Weight Loss Percentage

Posted by Kenny On June - 11 - 2010

Losing weight can sometimes be a very difficult task, requiring a large amount of energy and a lot of motivation. Knowing how to calculate weight loss percentage can really be a morale booster for your rough times because your actual results can only encourage you to perform more of the taken actions – like jogging, dieting or others.

It can also help you stay on track and not exaggerate with anything, as we do know that anything done in excess can harm your body. It can help you set goals and achieve them step by step.

But how do we calculate weight loss percentage? Is it a difficult math task? No way! It’s a pretty basic formula. First of all you’ll need to remember your initial weight.
Secondly, you’ll need your actual weight at this point.
Now, the formula goes like this:

((IW-AW)/IW) * 100= weight loss percentage

In this formula IW is your initial weight and AW is your actual weight at this point.
It’s not as complicated as it initially seems: practically all you do is subtract the actual weight from the initial weight and divide the number obtained by your initial weight. Multiply the result with 100 and you’ll get the exact percent.

Now you can see that it’s pretty basic – but opening a lot of possibilities. For example, you can measure your weight once a week and create an Excel table which instantly calculates the weight loss percentage for you. This can really help you keep track of your progress and can be a real motivation booster as I previously mentioned.

With this you can also create a weight loss percentage graphic – actually drawing your progress at certain points.

Well, if you fully understood how this works, you can conclude that now you know how to calculate weight loss percentage. If not, try to re-read the article more carefully.
